When using a premade MySpace layout, how do you get rid of those annoying blinking banners?

The ones advertising the site I got it from? There's always several clustered together on the screen, and I tried editing them out of the code, but it also deleted some of the layout graphics.

A wee bit of help?

Well it takes trial and error of editing the code.

You have some html experience and common sense to

edit out the graphics. Editing is the only way to do so.

If the blinker is advertising xyz.com, look for the the part of the

code that shows that link. Once you find it, find where the beginning of that particular part begins and ends, delete is out, and then look at the page again to see if it worked, if not, go back and put back there and try some more. If you need a little more help you can send me the code, I can help clear it up a little more.

Hope it helps.

you cant....Those are the ads that keep myspace alive...

usually you have to play with it a little...i just look for key words in the blinking banner and then look for them in the background code %26amp; start deleting parts until i get it right... after a while it gets easier to spot them. =)

LEARN HOW TO CODE, OR DONT USE THEM...

many many many 'pre packaged' myspace generators include viruses in their code,.. so little girls will infect momies computer with a nice little key logger, and momies credit card numbers are stolen....

post the code and i will teach you... html/css is not that hard at all...

Yes you CAN take them out. It's simple too. At the end of the code where it says %26lt;/style%26gt; there's are other codes too that start and end with another %26lt;/style%26gt;. Usually what comes out is the link of the site you got it from and the pic that is going to come out. Erase all of that and just leave the code. Sometimes the add where it says where you got the layout from is on the top so you gotta look carefully.

Yes you can- but I couldn't really tell you because I don't have the code in my face. I removed them from my myspace and a whole lot of my friends as well.

It's better if you kinda study the codes, so you can make your own.

At the end of the layout code there should be %26lt;style%26gt; or soemthing like that.

Under that is all crap.

Just delete it or you can change it...
