You would have to buy website hosting and a domain online (with real money), this cost about $6 a month and $20 to start out. I would recommend http://surpasshosting.com for the hosting and http://namecheap.com to buy the domain. There's a lot to explain but that's the main thing you need.

I have always found my myspace layouts by typing in "Myspace Layouts" into a search bar like google or yahoo. I usally get mine from myspace pimper, I am not sure if that would be the exact ".com" address, but try searching keywords like myspace pimper or myspace layouts and browse, most places have the different designs classified by category.

If you to createblog.com, you can find all sorts of layouts. They have regular, default, divs, and flash layouts. You can search what you are looking for and they'll find it. They have layouts of band, fashion, flowers, abstract, games, emotions, and much much more :)

DIV layouts?

I've been wanting to make a DIV layout on myspace forever. I found a great premade template and set it up. I wanted to add my default pic and I found the code for that but after I put the pic in it won't let me add text or anything and it messes up my tables. Im not sure what you mean with div but i assume its the html entity %26lt;DIV%26gt; where you are talking about. Divs work different then tables, you should see them as blocks which can be embedded in other blocks (divs). The problem is if you want 2 divs next to eachother because it's not an inline element. You can use float="left" and float="right" though. You should read a tutorial which makes it a bit more clear i think because i cannot help you without a code example. Good luck!

Two things are required. First find where your main background is defined. It should look something like this:

body { background: yourbackgroundhere }

After "yourbackgroundhere," which might be an image or a color, add "! important", as in:

Then add this line somewhere:

* { background: none ! important }

This should be in a pair of tags that look like "%26lt;style type="text/css"%26gt;" and "%26lt;/style%26gt;"

Where are you hosting your pics at? sometimes it takes time to load the pic on your background. also are you sure u changed the info for the back ground picture? it should be all the way on the top and say something like background.

thia is the way i do it

1st go to hotlyts and get anycode for backgrounds(copy and paste on ur myspace edit section)

(open new window)now upload the pik on photobucket

after uploaded, get the code that layout code or something with the layout code under image

then copy code

now go to the hotlyts code u had pasted on ur myspae edit section and if u read it ull see some phrase the would probably loolk like this " background url (" yada yada yada")

the only way to remove those is to either not use a premade code OR to remove the flash from the code... but removing the flash from the code would most likely violate there terms and conditions, so maybe just put a link to there site somewhere else on the page.... :)

I found a really cute, border MySpace layout online that I like but when I try to use the code provided, all the links at the top (that include "Home", etc...) disappear and you can't access them. It's not like the links are there and the text is gone, the links themselves are gone. Is this some kind of code inside the layout code that's doing this and if so, what is it so that I can find it and delete it. I'll try to add the code after I post through the "Add Details" part of Yahoo Answers because it won't fit here when I try to paste it in. If you can't find it, you had to make your own layout. Go to google, yahoo etc.. then type weddding or anniversary, then click on image and save as picture. Go to www.photobucket.com but you had to sign up for account, it's free. After this, go to google, yahoo etc... then type myspace editor.

Well it takes trial and error of editing the code.

You have some html experience and common sense to

edit out the graphics. Editing is the only way to do so.

If the blinker is advertising xyz.com, look for the the part of the

code that shows that link. Once you find it, find where the beginning of that particular part begins and ends, delete is out, and then look at the page again to see if it worked, if not, go back and put back there and try some more. If you need a little more help you can send me the code, I can help clear it up a little more.

usually you have to play with it a little...i just look for key words in the blinking banner and then look for them in the background code %26amp; start deleting parts until i get it right... after a while it gets easier to spot them. =)

Yes you CAN take them out. It's simple too. At the end of the code where it says %26lt;/style%26gt; there's are other codes too that start and end with another %26lt;/style%26gt;. Usually what comes out is the link of the site you got it from and the pic that is going to come out. Erase all of that and just leave the code. Sometimes the add where it says where you got the layout from is on the top so you gotta look carefully.

that probably means that the code is CSS or DIV (an overlay profile). if you want the general section back, you'll probably have to get a new layout that uses the standard settings, otherwise it could mess up the way the profile looks if you just take that part out. if you want some cool layouts, www.mygen.co.uk has some really good ones. hope it helps.

its a default layout.. just like when you first get your myspace.. the center table is white..if you change the bg to your page.. then THAT table is still gonna be white.. unless you set it to transparent.. or to another color... person up there.. no.. its not a skinny layout....

you can change somewhere in there the color to the table..

in the body{ blah blah blah.. you're gonna find the bg image url and stuff like that. and the color.. well. you're gona find the word Transparent... just change that to a color...

Okay, so I have a Q up about a program someone I know has. I'm not sure what it's called, but it puts pictures into premade frames like those found in a photobooth..The designs range from putting your face on dog tags to in stars etc..You can put more than one picture in a frame or just one. It depends. There are similar designs on the frames as on a lot of myspace backgrounds. Usually "Remote Hotlinking Is Not Allowed" means the image host does not allow cross-referencing images from a website. It's also known as "lurching." But PhotoBucket allows it, so I'm not sure.

But MySpace is also getting rid of a lot of non-MySpace objects. Like objects that DON'T say something like "Layout by PimpMyMyspace.com" or some crap.
